Associate Professor Dr. Muhammad Roil Bilad, a leading expert at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, excels in membrane science and technology. With over 296 ISI/Scopus-indexed publications and several EPO patents, he is recognized among Stanford-Elsevier’s top 2% scientists since 2019. Dr. Bilad’s research addresses water and wastewater treatment, CO2 reduction, and bioresource management using sustainable membrane-based solutions. He has developed specialized membrane reactors for microalgae biotechnology. Dr. Bilad holds a Doctorate in Bioscience Engineering from KU Leuven University, a Master’s in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Petronas, and a Bachelor’s from Institut Teknologi Bandung. His career includes roles as an Associate Professor and Research Fellow at top institutions. An active editor for high-impact journals and keynote speaker at international conferences, Dr. Bilad is dedicated to advancing membrane technology and mentoring future engineers.
